About The Position

The Department of Surgery at Loma Linda University School of Medicine is seeking a fellowship-trained surgical oncologist to join their team as an Assistant or Associate Professor of Surgery. The role involves managing complex general surgical oncology conditions within the Loma Linda University Cancer Center and its affiliated clinics, working alongside multidisciplinary specialists. The position requires a commitment to research and education, including mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows. The Division of Surgical Oncology is Commission on Cancer accredited and includes faculty specializing in Complex General and Breast Surgical Oncology. The role will be primarily based at the main campus in Loma Linda, with a portion of services provided in Apple Valley, CA, to address access barriers in an underserved region. Faculty utilize nine robotic platforms for various resections and are involved in specialized programs like peritoneal surface malignancy management and hepatic arterial infusion therapy. The Division offers an ACGME-accredited Complex General Surgical Oncology fellowship and training programs in surgical, medical, and radiation oncology. It also provides surgical oncology training to international candidates to address workforce deficiencies globally. Leadership opportunities are available. Board certification and licensure are required. Responsibilities
