Cleans and services OR-patient rooms, bathrooms, lavatories, and offices. Cleans and mops floors, dusts furniture and cleans equipment, cleans windows and window ledges. Empties trash receptacles, cleans, and polishes shower, bathtubs, sinks, mirrors, and similar equipment. Replenishes supplies of soap, paper towels, toilet paper, sharps containers and air fresheners. Cleans and polishes doors, tables and performs a variety of other duties as related to the position. The Surgical Services Environmental Technician works closely with the nursing staff, co-workers, and the supervisors of other departments. Responsible for cleaning and servicing their assigned areas. They must be willing to perform routine, repetitive tasks on a continuous basis and perform tasks despite continuous interruptions. Sterile Technique will be required in a number of areas.
