About The Position

Glendive Medical Center is seeking a Surgical Environment Service Technician to maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment within Surgical Services and Outpatient Infusion. This role is responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, stocking supplies, and supporting infection prevention standards to ensure quality patient care.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to read, write, follow instructions, and maintain accurate records.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively with staff throughout the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize surgical and outpatient areas according to established housekeeping, infection control, and AORN standards.
  • Dust, mop, and disinfect floors and surfaces.
  • Empty trash and properly dispose of hazardous materials, including sharps and chemotherapy waste.
  • Clean and polish sinks, mirrors, wheelchairs, x-ray vests, stainless steel surfaces, windows, and other equipment.
  • Restock tissue, soap, towels, and other supplies.
  • Order, organize, and maintain cleaning supplies.
  • Arrange equipment and furniture as needed.
  • Perform area-specific cleaning tasks according to departmental guidelines.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
