About The Position
Made Ya Smile is seeking an experienced Surgical Dental Assistant to support our offices in Friendswood, Kingwood, The Woodlands, and Houston (77064). This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated dental professional who enjoys working in a collaborative, patient-focused environment while supporting surgical procedures across multiple locations. As a Surgical Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our doctors and clinical team while helping patients feel comfortable and cared for throughout their treatment journey.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of on-the-job dental assisting experience (supporting documentation required)
- Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) required
- Current X-Ray Certification required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Ability to travel between practice locations
- Maintain current CPR, OSHA, HIPAA, and Infection Control certifications/training as required by law.
Nice To Haves
- Nitrous Oxide Certification strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist doctors during surgical dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and surgical instruments
- Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after treatment
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Follow infection control and sterilization protocols
- Take and process dental radiographs
- Support the clinical team in delivering excellent patient care
