About The Position
The Surgical Dental Assistant provides quality care to patients under the supervision of an Oral Surgeon or Resident, promotes efficient operation of the procedural-based clinic, and provides surgical assistance to practitioners and support staff. The role is based at Village Pointe Cancer Center in Omaha, Nebraska, and is full-time, first shift, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school education or equivalent.
- Graduate of an accredited Dental Assistant Program or have at least one year of chairside experience and the ability to obtain Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certification within 14 months of transfer or hire.
- Completion of a radiography course or credits.
- Effective verbal and written skills.
- Ability to accomplish multiple tasks and prioritize activities.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon completion of unit orientation, from an American Heart Association (AHA)-endorsed program. This requirement applies to new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later.
Nice To Haves
- Graduate of an accredited Dental Assistant Program.

- Prior customer service experience.
