About The Position
ClearChoice Dental Implant Center in Rochester is seeking a Surgical Dental Assistant to join their growing team. This role offers an opportunity to work alongside experienced oral surgeons and restorative specialists, developing advanced skills in dental implants, surgery, and patient care. It is suitable for experienced Dental Assistants eager to grow into a specialty role or those with existing surgical experience.
Requirements
- Dental Assistant experience in a dental or specialty practice
- Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Commitment to teamwork and delivering an outstanding patient experience
Nice To Haves
- Surgical, oral surgery, periodontal, prosthodontic, or implant experience
- DAANCE certification
- Sedation or surgical assisting experience
- Radiology certification (if applicable)
- Candidates with strong dental assisting experience who are eager to learn surgical procedures
Responsibilities
- Prepare surgical treatment rooms and maintain a sterile environment
- Assist chairside during dental implant and oral surgery procedures
- Prepare instruments, equipment, and materials for treatment
- Capture diagnostic images and records as needed
- Monitor inventory and maintain clinical supplies
- Support patient education and post-operative care instructions
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, infection control, and safety standards
- Provide exceptional patient care before, during, and after treatment
