We are seeking a people-centric, highly organized Surgical Counselor to guide our patients through their life-changing vision correction journey.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent (bachelor’s or associate degree in communication, public health, or related field is a plus).
  • Experience in patient coordination, medical counseling, clinical sales, or high-touch hospitality/customer service.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to break down complex clinical details into warm, simple concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Educating patients on customized surgical options and advanced lens technologies to empower them to make confident, highly informed decisions about their visual outcomes.
  • Serving as the primary, empathetic point of contact to build trusted, long-term relationships, put anxious minds at ease, and answer critical non-clinical questions.
  • Scheduling and coordinating surgical procedures to ensure a seamless, stress-free pathway from a patient's initial decision to their actual surgery day.
  • Managing surgical consents, clinical documentation, and financing options to demystify the administrative process and eliminate any friction or barriers to care.
  • Collaborating seamlessly with surgeons, clinics, and surgical centers to maintain an efficient schedule and align everyone involved in the patient's care.
  • Reviewing pre- and post-operative guidelines to fully prepare patients for a safe, successful surgery and an optimal, stress-free recovery experience.
  • Participating in team meetings and continuous process improvements to align clinical operations, share insights, and elevate our patient care standards.
