About The Position

This position will have a home location of West Side (Monfort Heights) but will require travel to Blue Ash & Eastgate offices. The Surgical Coordinator will deliver excellent patient-centered care by ensuring the financial and surgical communication process is complete for patients having surgical procedures.

• Regular bending, stooping, and reaching (25–50%)
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items up to 25 lbs.
• Strong fine motor skills and full use of hands are essential, as the role demands constant grasping, writing/typing, and use of technology.
• Visual and auditory acuity—including color, depth, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus—is required 100% of the time.
• Occasional driving or climbing may also be necessary.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in financial counseling is preferred
• Experience working with insurance is preferred

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgery, perform pre-surgery patient education regarding preparation for surgery and communicate with all associated facilities.
• Schedule and coordinate pre-op appointments with the patient and/or the patient’s care giver.
• Check every patient chart for insurance benefits, prepare a cost summary and counsel patients regarding finances.
• Counsel patients for Physician Fee and Eye Surgery Center.
• Follow up on and collect surgery payments.
• Other duties as assigned.
