About The Position

Under the direction of the medical providers, this position’s primary function is to schedule surgical procedures. The responsibilities of the Surgical Scheduler include: scheduling surgical procedure in ORSOS, scheduling all pre- and post-operative appointments and obtaining authorization. The Surgical Scheduler works closely with the clinical team, medical providers and hospital staff to provide timely care for our patients.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or equivalent
  • Two (2) years' experience working in healthcare OR Two (2) years' experience working in customer service
  • Proficient PC skills
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology

Nice To Haves

  • AAS in an accredited MOA program or equivalent
  • Knowledge of insurance referral process
  • Basic computer skills; HER, Excel, Microsoft Office
  • Previous experience in OR Scheduling
  • Current drivers license
