About The Position

Join IVI RMA, the global leader in fertility care, as a Part-Time Surgical Center Nurse Manager in our growing Los Angeles practice. In this role, you’ll lead surgical operations, collaborate with top physicians, and help deliver exceptional care in a state-of-the-art fertility center. Job Purpose: The Surgical Center Nurse Manager assumes authority, responsibility, and accountability for the delivery of services in the facility which provides services including Gynecological, Urological, HSG, and IVF procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree – Nursing
  • Nursing License – CA – required
  • Current BLS and ACLS – required
  • 2+ years clinical nursing experience - required
  • Must have thorough understanding of regulatory guidelines (i.e., Quad-A, AAAHC, CLIA, OSHA, State Department(s) of Health, CMS and DEA). - required
  • Proficient in nursing assessment and intravenous therapy
  • Proficient in computer programs including Excel, Word, and Outlook

Responsibilities

  • Functions as a working manager and participates and demonstrates flexibility to cover staffing as needed.
  • Assists with planning and assuring equipment and supplies based on procedure and physician needs.
  • Demonstrates clinical expertise in all procedures and assisting physicians as it relates to specific procedures and patient needs clinically.
  • Promotes cost containment while delivering quality patient care.
  • Demonstrates flexibility to perform other functions within the Center, Procedure rooms and Operating Rooms to assist in smooth operation of the department, including coverage and lunch breaks.
  • Analyzes pertinent data, communicates findings and documents information appropriately, including monthly quality metrics.
  • Actively looks at improving patient care and process improvement.
  • Contributes to orientation/training of new staff.
  • Maintains a safe working environment to include radiation safety, and appropriate personal protection attire.
  • Communicates effectively with patients, peers, managers, and subordinates.
  • Serves on the Quality Assurance and Infection Control Committees.
  • Ensures adequate equipment and supply levels for operations.
  • Oversees all staff positions, including receptionists, SPD technicians, nurses and surgical technicians.
  • Monitors staff functions throughout the day to ensure all staff are actively completing their assigned tasks with the goal of running an efficient center.
  • Ensure that team members have the necessary training for proper performance and development.
  • Maintain organization of team members’ timesheets, PTO, schedules, etc. to ensure that tasks are properly carried out.
  • Transmit the Company’s policies (health and safety, labor legislation, training, etc.) to ensure compliance.
