About The Position
The Surgical Care Tech cleans and disinfects operating room equipment as assigned. Performs housekeeping duties (Cleaning stretchers, equipment, terminally cleaning of the Surgical Department, etc.). This role is part of the Operating Room team at Chelsea, where over 5,000 inpatient and outpatient surgeries are performed annually in various specialties including gynecology, orthopedics, ophthalmology, general surgery, otorhinolaryngology, podiatry, plastic surgery, and spine surgery.
Requirements
- Minimum of high school diploma
- A minimum of one-year previous related experience.
Responsibilities
- Cleans and disinfects operating room equipment as assigned.
- Performs housekeeping duties including cleaning stretchers and equipment.
- Performs terminal cleaning of the Surgical Department.
