About The Position
The Surgical Associate position at Texas Health Center for Diagnostics & Surgery is a full-time role focused on supporting surgical procedures. Requirements
- High School Diploma required
- BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
Nice To Haves
- Previous patient care experience preferred
- Previous experience in OR preferred
Responsibilities
- Completes routine stocking chores
- Ensures two arm boards and safety strap available for case
- Stocks and replaces suction liners
- Assists in moving patients to and from the operating room suites
- Assists in room cleanup before and/or after surgery
- Follows directions of circulating nurse in obtaining equipment, instruments and supplies as requested
