Surgical Associate - Surgery Bring your passion for Texas Health So We Are Better + Together. Work location: Texas Health Plano 6200 West Parker Road, Plano, TX 75093. Work hours: Full Time/Days; 40 hours/week; Monday - Friday; 10:30a-7p. Surgery Department Highlights: Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support required

Nice To Haves

  • Previous patient care experience in health care in an acute care setting preferred
  • Experience in a doctor’s office or healthcare helpful

Responsibilities

  • Restocks warmer with blankets and saline
  • Changes sharps containers
  • Stocks linen, and bags for trash and linen, as well as red bags
  • Follows patient identification requirements
  • Maintains patient dignity and confidentiality
  • Communicates appropriately with patients and families
  • Observes safety procedures in moving patients
