As a Surgical Assistant, your primary responsibility is to assist our team in delivering quality patient care through safe, efficient clinical practices, including proper instrument passing, monitoring, and supporting daily clinical operations.

Requirements

• Must have either graduated from a dental assisting school OR possess 6 months to 1 year of hands-on dental experience.
• A positive, upbeat attitude, a strong commitment to teamwork, and a desire for long-term career growth.

Responsibilities

• Prepares treatment rooms adhering to prescribed procedures and protocols; takes and records patient vital signs (blood pressure, respiration rate, etc.).
• Assists providers with surgical procedures, transfers instruments properly, prepares surgical dressings, and takes dental radiographs.
• Monitors patients and vital signs during and after surgical procedures as applicable.
• Enters patient treatment data into the computer system, prepares consent forms, and provides post-operative care instructions.
• Cleans, maintains, and sterilizes equipment and instruments; maintains a safe and clean working environment in compliance with OSHA infection control policies.
• Works closely with colleagues and management (Azi Eshraghi and Brittanie Becraft) to maintain a smooth, efficient daily workflow.
