About The Position
The Surgical Assistant II works as a 1st or 2nd assistant to the surgeon and under the direction/supervision of that surgeon and in accordance with hospital policy and appropriate laws and regulations. The Surgical Assistant works as part of a multidisciplinary surgical team, collaborating with nurses, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
Requirements
- Virginia Surgical Assistant License REQUIRED
- NBSTSA/NCCSA Certification REQUIRED
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification REQUIRED
- 3 years Surgical Assistant experience REQUIRED
Responsibilities
- Works as a 1st or 2nd assistant to the surgeon.
- Works under the direction/supervision of the surgeon.
- Collaborates with nurses, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
