Surgical Assistant CNA FT
About The Position
The Surgical Assistant is responsible for transporting patients to and from the Operating Room, ordering and restocking supplies, performing environmental sanitation, and carrying out other functions related to nursing activities within the perioperative area. The position is responsible to the Executive Director of Perioperative Services. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with on-call duties. Applicants must complete the application entirely to be considered for an interview. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check, lab work, and immunization-record review.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Obtain and maintain American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider.
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check, lab work, and immunization-record review.
- Complete the application entirely to be considered for the interview process.
Nice To Haves
- One year of current hospital or nursing home Nurse Aide experience, or completion of a Nurse Aide course.
- Current certification through the Texas Nurse Aide Registry.
- One to two years of previous Operating Room experience.
