About The Position

Essentia Health is seeking a Surgical Aide to serve in the operating room at St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth, Minnesota. This aide works primary day shifts (7a-4p and 10a-7p). Evening shifts of 3p-12a and on call are required one out of every four weeks. One weekend every four weeks is also required, as well as on-call and holiday rotations. This is primarily a cleaning role and is not involved in direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Stocks and censuses supplies and equipment in all areas of OR-Surgical Services and Perfusion to ensure the maintenance of proper levels of supplies, materials and equipment.
• Maintains department/work area in a safe, clean and orderly condition to assure safe operation and product integrity.
• Transport of stable patients from inpatient rooms.
• Assisting transporting critical patients from the ICU and ER to the operating room or pre-op area.
