The Surgery Scheduler is responsible for coordinating the scheduling of surgical procedures between physicians and their offices, available OR specialty time, anesthesia, and other departments as necessary. This role also involves communicating changes to the existing schedule, ensuring maximum utilization of rooms and equipment, and maintaining surgery assignments. The scheduler will obtain necessary pre-operative information, process patient charges, and run reports to verify correct entry of codes. Additionally, the position requires answering and triaging incoming calls, acting as a resource to staff and patients, and operating office equipment.
