About The Position
Texas Health Physicians Group is seeking a Surgery Scheduler Specialist for a fast-paced, high-volume clinic located at 6124 West Parker Road Plano, Texas 75093. This full-time position involves coordinating, registering, and scheduling patient appointments, conducting pre-certification for insurance coverage, ensuring all required pre-surgery tests are completed, and scheduling follow-up appointments. The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, with a strong preference for two years of related healthcare experience, knowledge of insurance verification, referrals, and pre-certifications, and prior surgery scheduling experience. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple providers' schedules. Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED)
- Two Years of related experience in Healthcare environment (STRONGLY PREFERRED)
- Knowledge of Insurance Verificatin, Referrals and Pre-Certifications (STRONGLY PREFERRED)
- Surgery Scheduling experience (STRONGLY PREFERRED)
Nice To Haves
- Thrive in a Fast-Paced environment, working with multiple providers' schedules (PREFERRED)
Responsibilities
- Coordinate, Register and Schedule appointments for patients according to availabiliy
- Conduct patient pre-certification to ensure coverage for appointments and medical care
- Ensure all required tests needed prior to surgery are done
- Schedule any necessary follow-up appointments
