The Coral Springs Family Health and Surgery Center provides patients with convenient access to the same world-class care provided at Cleveland Clinic's regional hospitals. As the Radiology Technologist, you will continually strive to learn new technical information and skills through attendance of periodic in-service programs and participation in professional affiliation sessions. You may be required to rotate through all diagnostic imaging modalities and locations. A caregiver in this role works days from 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with a holiday rotation and two weekend call shifts per month. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Perform ED/surgical procedures (trauma cases, fluoroscopic exams to include vascular, general medicine, ortho, cardiac, GI, GU, neuro, pediatrics, and general procedures). Produce images of optimal quality for interpretation with accuracy and without delay. Perform procedures in a sterile environment and maintain patient safety. Provide verbal and written instructions to patients and families on procedures as needed. Assist in scheduling patients. Monitor and determine priority of patients. Ensure patients' safety and comfort during and after the exam. Demonstrate the care and operation of Radiography equipment according to technical specifications and applications. Assist Radiologists, physicians, and surgeons with procedures. Knowledgeable in acquiring, archiving, transmitting, and printing images via PACS. When applicable, knowledge in afterhours transmission of images and appropriate paperwork. Report any malfunctions to the help desk and PACS Administrator. Maintain documentation requirements to ensure that all technical data is entered timely and accurately. Notify management and take proper action to address equipment malfunctions. Provide instruction/mentoring to new hires and Radiology students.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology
  • Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(R) (ARRT), in good standing
  • Current state licensure (RL) required prior to employment
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
  • Knowledge of anatomy and related pathologic processes
  • Ability to communicate well with Radiologists and physicians to coordinate proper imaging of patients

Nice To Haves

  • One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist
  • Two years of experience in radiology/x-ray
