About The Position

Full time Radiology Tech Surgery Radiology Technologist needed for the Surgery Radiology Department. This position will be located at Livonia Medical Center (40%) and Trinity Health Livonia (60%). The purpose of this role is to perform radiographic procedures under the direction of a Radiologist. This includes operating x-ray equipment to create diagnostic films for radiologist interpretation, documenting patient history, and preparing reports. The technologist must maintain courtesy, professionalism, and confidentiality in all interactions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training in an AMA approved school.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• BCLS required.
• Working knowledge of anatomy and principles of physics, electricity and variations of anatomical postures.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiographic procedures under the direction of a Radiologist.
• Operates x-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated body portions.
• Produces diagnostically acceptable films for radiologist interpretation.
• Documents patient history.
• Prepares documentation of all procedures/reports completed and reports this to the radiologist.
• Maintains courtesy, professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions with patients, staff and physicians.
