As a Surgery Nurse at SJHMC, you will work in a twelve-room OR suite with a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio, fostering close patient and family relationships. The unit also features a 44-bay multi-level PACU with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio, dedicated to trauma and emergency cases. The unit is committed to using the latest technology, providing opportunities for continuous learning and skill enhancement. As a Level I Trauma Center, the unit operates 24/7.

Requirements

  • BSN upon hire
  • AZ RN license upon hire
  • American Heart Association BLS upon hire

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year recent acute care experience
  • Experience in Trauma, General Ortho and Robotics

Responsibilities

  • Assist surgeon and surgical team in the OR
  • Care for patients before, during, and after procedures
  • Develop and implement nursing care plan for surgical patients
  • Ensure operating rooms are prepped with all necessary equipment and supplies
  • Demonstrate a high level of compassion for patients
