About The Position

North Pittsburgh Oral Surgery is a private practice in McCandless, PA, seeking a Surgical Assistant to join their Clinical Team. This role involves assisting surgeons during oral surgical procedures across four office locations (North Hills, Cranberry Twp, Natrona Heights, or New Castle), requiring travel between offices. Requirements

• Previous experience as a Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist preferred
• Familiarity with DSN or other electronic medical record systems
• Knowledge of surgical instruments, equipment, and procedures
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• X-Ray Certification
• CPR Certification

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during oral surgical procedures in a clinic
• Prepare operating rooms with necessary equipment and supplies
• Set up sterile fields and ensure adherence to aseptic techniques
• Hand instruments and supplies to surgeons during procedures
• Maintain accurate medical records using DSN and other electronic systems
• Clean and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
• Assist with patient positioning and prepping for surgery
• Monitor patients' vital signs during procedures
• Provide post-operative care and instructions to patients
