About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid operator certification or license for relevant surface equipment (e.g., crane operator certification).
• Minimum of 2 years experience operating heavy surface equipment in an industrial, construction, or mining environment.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and operational procedures related to heavy equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, safety guidelines, and operational instructions.
• Technical skills daily to operate complex machinery safely and efficiently, ensuring smooth project execution.
• Strong attention to detail is essential when performing equipment inspections and maintenance to prevent malfunctions and accidents.
• Communication skills are used to coordinate with supervisors and team members, ensuring that equipment needs align with project schedules.
• Problem-solving abilities help the operator quickly address mechanical issues or operational challenges that arise during work.
• Knowledge of safety standards and regulations is applied consistently to maintain a secure work environment for all personnel.

Responsibilities

• Operate and control surface equipment including cranes, loaders, forklifts, and other heavy machinery according to operational guidelines.
• Conduct pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance checks to ensure equipment is in safe working condition.
• Identify and report any mechanical issues or safety hazards to the maintenance team and supervisors promptly.
• Follow all safety protocols and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel on site.
• Coordinate with team members and supervisors to schedule equipment use and support project timelines effectively.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and any incidents or irregularities.
• Assist in loading, unloading, and transporting materials as required by project needs.
