About The Position
Northern Star Resources Limited is seeking a Surface Equipment Operator to join their team. This role involves operating various heavy and light surface equipment to maintain surface conditions, roads, and site facilities. The operator will report to the Surface Operations Supervisor and play a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of surface activities at a remote campsite. Requirements
- Current Driver's License
- Experience operating small and heavy equipment in a construction or mining setting.
- Ability to pass a background check and post-offer physical
- Computer literacy - Microsoft Office Suite
- Good communication; radio skills

- Awareness of the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) Act & Regulations.
Responsibilities
- Unloading of tractor trailer delivery trucks and knowledgeable of equipment load limits as well as load charts
- Safely and efficiently operate large and small equipment such as haul trucks, loaders, excavators, graders, dozers, forklifts, bobcats, fuel wagon, water truck and small loaders.
- Fuelling static equipment such as heaters.
- Construction and maintenance of surface haul roads, laydowns and parking areas.
- Construction and maintenance of dry stack facility.
- Haul mineralised ore and waste between mining and processing operations.
- Continuously review scheduled jobs to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure all safety related activities are undertaken in accordance with Company policy and MSHA requirements including Hazard ID’s, pre-start checks, pre-start meetings, and incident reporting
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in all work areas.
- Other duties as required.
