They handle the day-to-day needs of mid-sized and moderately complex clients by possessing knowledge of coverages, carrier guidelines, underwriting, and legislative changes. They also maintain relationships with clients and carrier representatives and identify opportunities to suggest new lines of coverage.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of experience
  • High level of discretion when collecting and dealing with client data
  • Attention to detail

  • Willingness to step up to other duties from time to time
  • Active P&C license
  • Active Notary Public designation
  • Able to hold Power of Attorney appointments with surety companies

Responsibilities

  • Independently service a designated book of surety business of one or more producers.
  • Respond to client inquiries, address underwriting questions, and communicate with clients on new and renewal business, change riders, and changes in premium.
  • Provide professional and timely communications with clients, colleagues, and carriers.
  • Assist producers in preparing account submissions to surety carriers.
  • Quote and issue new bonds timely and accurately.
  • Organize and maintain client files as well as properly document the management system with all communications and bond transactions.
  • Delegate invoicing to appropriate team members.
  • Prepare and finalize necessary documents, agreements, and applications, including consents, riders, and letters.
  • Accountable for retention and proper handling of expiration list and renewals.
  • Develop compliance communication and handle countersignature requirements.
  • Ensuring underwriting requirements are met, and bonds are issued in compliance with authority and underwriting guidelines.
  • Handling financial aspects of an account timely and accurately - including invoicing and corrections, responding to client accounting questions, accounting department inquiries, and following up with clients on receivables.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and changes including state and governmental regulations.
  • Participate in continuing education and industry events.
  • Maintain confidentiality in review of client's financial documents to include financials, credit information, business plans and contracts, and client’s project and performance history.
  • Maintain files and documentation of communication in accordance with company policy and professional standards outlined by the Department of Insurance.
  • Adherence to the stated expectations of the C3’s Quality Management Program.
  • Perform other responsibilities and duties as needed.
