About The Position

Supervises employees who test and/or inspect products to determine compliance with specifications. HII's Newport News Shipbuilding (NNS) division is the largest industrial employer in Virginia. We’re the sole designer, builder and refueler of U.S. Navy nuclear aircraft carriers and one of two providers of U.S. Navy nuclear submarines. Requirements

Apprentice graduate, Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and 4 years of applicable technical experience.
Master’s degree and 2 years relevant experience.
4 years of related exempt experience can be substituted for Bachelor’s degree.
8 years related non-exempt experience can be substituted for Bachelor’s degree and experience.

Nice To Haves

Working level knowledge of trades, inspection processes and principles across the various programs.
Considerable knowledge of the safety, security, and standard yard procedures.
Demonstrated ability to build and lead teams within their own organization.
Must be able to obtain/maintain a minimum of a confidential DoD security clearance.
