About The Position

This position is directly responsible for supervising one of the groups within the Training and Education Design (TED) team, including assignment of work, monitoring of performance, conducting performance reviews, recruitment, hiring, taking disciplinary action when needed, assisting with monitoring of and adherence to the department budget, assisting with development and documentation of department job standards, goals, and strategies. The supervisor is lead on many initiatives, is EPIC certified and is a principal trainer. Coordinates and participates in the needs assessment, instructional design, implementation and evaluation of orientation, staff development and continuing education relevant to hospital staff. They assist in the development and maintenance of a master plan to promote the professional development and engagement of end users and operational partners. This position reports to the TED team manager. Approximately 25% time will be spent in people management, the remaining time will be working as a trainer.

Requirements

  • A minimum of five years related experience
  • Extensive adult education experience
  • Bachelor's degree in related field

Nice To Haves

  • Prior supervisory experience
  • Prior instructional design experience
  • Masters Degree in a related field
  • Familiar with e-learning development tools
  • Certification as either an Epic Principal Trainer or Analyst in Epic module
