Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of leadership experience required

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ year of direct people management experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Project management and coordination experience preferred
  • Deep understanding of operational needs preferred (e.g. technical support of laboratory processes and equipment, general agronomic support, and resource management)

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead the Soils Receiving department, providing guidance, training, and performance management
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements to optimize productivity and reduce costs
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines
  • Lead new employee onboarding, training, and support for Human Resources systems
  • Responsible for direct report time approval and management for employees within the timekeeping system
  • Responsible for managing seasonal employees during peak seasons including interviewing, selecting new hires, relationship management, performance monitoring, compliance oversight, and conflict resolution
  • Responsible for developing, implementing, and following safety solutions within your department
  • Fill in for employees within the department when needed, especially during peak seasons
  • Model our core value of safety by leading and enabling a culture in which you and your team are actively contributing to a safe work environment
  • Other duties as required
