SUMMARY: Responsible for the purchase, management, and control of all supplies, equipment, and furnishings from acquisition to disposition. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Minimum of three years purchasing experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the procurement of all supplies, equipment, and furniture through centralized purchasing process.
  • Meet with vendor sales representatives.
  • Research products and solicit bids as needed.
  • Negotiate and administer vendor contracts.
  • Evaluate products and services received. Contact vendors to correct deficiencies.
  • Develop and adhere to effective policies and procedures for the management of all supplies and materials. Communicate purchasing policies and procedures to all users.
  • Establish an ongoing cost containment program.
  • Conduct periodic inventories.
  • Dispose of all excess equipment and supplies to the best advantage of the company.10.
  • Generate appropriate reports as requested.
  • Participate in budget development as requested.
  • Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with the Accounting, Contracts, and Facilities departments.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for department.
  • Maintain Master Book on all current MSDS sheets for all departments on chemicals used in the Clinics.
