About The Position

This person will be accountable for skilled labor employees including all aspects of safety, quality, production and cost. Ensures the highest quality work in the most efficient and cost-effective manner possible.

Requirements

• 3-5 years’ experience in fast paced production environment with preferably 2-4 years’ railcar experience.
• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Minimal travel may be required within the US and Canada

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes and supervises shift production in accordance with priority goals and availability of resources to ensure adequate and timely downstream flow to the finishing department.
• Performs quality audits to ensure a high-quality repair.
• Communicates work area status/activities to the Shift Lead/Production Manager(s).
• Communicate with downstream departments to facilitate smooth car flow.
• Uses technical experience, expertise and problem-solving ability to achieve and maintain quality repair.
• Maintains an effective work force by training, counseling and motivating agreement workers, and assure alignment with employee engagement.
• Ensure that all necessary administrative work is complete and accurate.
