The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of workers engaged in cleaning and maintaining the casino premises and surrounding grounds, not limited to maintenance, plumbing, small equipment repair, painting, landscaping, and housekeeping. The Maintenance Supervisor supervises the Maintenance team to include team member development and training, performance management, and policy enforcement. Schedules and coordinates work assignments, breaks and days off. Ensures that the team members are completing tasks in a safe manner and in compliance with all applicable safety regulations and/or standards. Trains team members on job performance, department and casino standard practices. Ensures that all team members are trained in all departmental procedures, rules, regulations and standards. Provides coaching, monitoring and discipline of team members when property is not up to par. Instructs all team members on how to properly handle chemicals. Inspects the casino throughout the shift to assess workmanship, including regular periodic documented restroom inspections. Maintains required records, gathers statistics and prepares reports as required. Provides assistance to other job classifications as needed. Cleans property when needed. Creates requisitions or purchases cleaning supplies and equipment. Submits requirements to Director of Maintenance for approval. Responds to emails, voicemails, radio and/or Spectra Link calls and ensures all requests of labor or material are accomplished in a timely manner. Monitors and handles guest complaints while ensuring guest satisfaction. Promotes and maintains the highest level of guest service. Checks on guest satisfaction. Ensures staff is aware of marketing promotions. Ensures that supplies and equipment are maintained and distributed in an efficient and responsible manner. Performs other duties as assigned. Provides immediate supervision to a unit or group of employees, assigning tasks, checking work at frequent intervals, and maintaining schedules. A portion of time is normally spent performing individual tasks related to the unit or sub-unit. Generally supervises semi-skilled employees.
