About The Position

This position oversees Customer Order Fulfillment, Inbound Receiving, Inventory Control, and outbound operations. The role provides direct leadership to up to 30 team members, ensuring accurate receipt of product, efficient order fulfillment, and optimization of resources and processes to deliver products to customers on time. The supervisor will manage processes for compliance, implement improvements, and promote programs that foster an engaged and empowered team environment. The role is based in the Anchorage, AK Market Distribution Center and reports to the Mgr, Site Leader. The schedule is Monday through Friday, working from 8:00 a.m. until finished.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 2+ years previous leadership or supervisor experience with increasing responsibility in a customer order fulfillment environment.
  • Ability to lift, slide and lower packages up to 50 lbs. and possibly up to 75 lbs. may be needed
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, SAP and warehouse management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Use production, safety, quality, cycle time, financial, and other important data to analyze performance and identify process variations or exceptions resulting in lower-than-expected performance and communicate issues to leadership team
  • Support Distribution Center wide projects and help ensure all deliverables (e.g. action items, process improvements) are completed by the commitment date
  • Create a dynamic workplace that effects positive employee relationships by developing employee engagement and recognition programs and ensuring all employees are treated fairly, with respect, and have the tools necessary to perform their jobs
  • Manage the development process for non-exempt direct reports which may include training, supporting development goals, provide feedback, complete performance evaluations, and recognition and disciplinary action
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and the use LEAN, DMAIC, Six Sigma tools and programs and implement solutions to improve results and operations excellence
  • Emphasize training and implement audit systems to eliminate process variation or discrepancies and to ensure compliance with Company, and other governmental agencies (e.g. OSHA, DOT, and EPA)
