About The Position

Brynn Marr Hospital is committed to providing the highest standard of psychiatric care to adults, adolescents, and children. Since 1983, our behavioral health therapists in Jacksonville, NC, have equipped patients with the skills they need to live happier, healthier, and more productive lives. We offer evidence-based treatment programs that address a number of issues, including grief, trauma, psychiatric disorders, and substance abuse problems. Position Summary: Plan for, prepare and serve regular and special diets to patients, staff and guests. Assists Dietary Manager with planning and maintaining quality procedures, staff work schedules, designing menus, completing inventory, ordering food & supplies, ensuring proper cleaning/sanitization as well as meeting all approved standards set forth by Brynn Marr Hospital.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalency required.
  • 3 - 5 years’ experience in food service as a supervisor required.
  • ServeSafe certification
  • Medium Work – Exerting 20 – 50 pounds of force occasionally or 10 – 25 pounds of force frequently or an amount greater than negligible and up to 10 pounds of force frequently or an amount greater than negligible and up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of these for light work.
  • Requires walking or standing to a significant degree.
  • Grasping; Speaking; Hearing; Computer use; Visual acuity (color, depth perception, field of vision); Standing; Sitting; Walking; Pushing; Pulling; Lifting; Kneeling; Balancing; Crouching; Twisting; Stooping; Repetitive Motions; Reaching; Climbing Ladders
  • Knowledge of appropriate policies, procedures, and plans is required.
  • Blood borne disease exposure through contact and contaminate blood and body fluids.

Nice To Haves

  • Trade, vocational school training or bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
  • Experience in health care food service facility preferred.
