About The Position

As a Job Coach, you would provide one-on-one support to adults with developmental disabilities at various employment sites throughout Alameda County. Must have excellent organizational, communication, computer, teaching, and problem-solving skills. Must be able to work effectively as part of a team and independently. This job is a great way to gain experience in the non-profit sector, social work, social services, or education and tutoring. We are seeking people who want to make a difference in the lives of others and are reliable, responsible, and teachable.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Committed to the philosophy of individualized services, independence, and community inclusion
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem solving skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively, both as a team and independently
  • Possession of a valid California driver's license, a driving record that meets agency standards, auto insurance, and access to a vehicle

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in human services, non-profit, social work is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Supporting clients with maintaining professional relationships with coworkers
  • Supporting clients with organizing and prioritizing job tasks
  • Supporting clients with requesting time off with managers
  • Supporting clients with planning a main route to work and alternate routes
  • Supporting clients with learning new duties and tasks
  • Supporting clients with managing stress on busy days
  • Supporting clients with anything else work-related they might need support with
