About The Position

The role involves supporting individuals with learning disabilities and physical disabilities, with staff trained in areas such as moving and positioning, safeguarding, and medication administration. Support Workers engage in community activities like shopping, arts and crafts, driving, dining out, and people watching. The organization seeks individuals who are fun, bubbly, and outgoing, and who do not dislike community engagement. Support is provided on a one-to-one or two-to-one basis for community access, with some shared support within the home. Shifts are available, including day shifts (8 am-8 pm), specific Tuesday/Thursday shifts (10:00 am-5:00 pm), Monday/Friday shifts (9 am-5 pm), and waking night shifts (8 pm-8 am).

Responsibilities

  • Spend your whole shift with the person you support, making the biggest impact on their lives
  • Engage in community activities such as shopping, arts and crafts, going for drives in vehicles, eating out, and people watching.
  • Provide one-to-one/two-to-one support to access the local community.
  • Share support within the home.
