Requirements

Ability to drive material delivery equipment in a manufacturing environment (training and certification will be provided).
General computer skills will be required for all Support Tech II jobs (training will be provided for the systems used within our operations).

Nice To Haves

Prior forklift experience in a manufacturing environment.
Prior warehouse experience.
Prior experience using a Kanban delivery system.

Responsibilities

Operating a forklift supporting various manufacturing operations (machining, coating, assembly, shipping, receiving, and warehouse).
Delivering small parts to the point of use on the assembly lines using powered delivery carts and tow behind wagons.
Performing warehouse roles including receiving, shipping, and warehouse operations using forklifts and narrow aisle lift trucks.
Indirect support of manufacturing operations for large and small part replenishment to various machining cells, coating operations, and assembly lines.
Using sit down and stand-up forklifts, narrow aisle forklifts, powered delivery carts, and some manual lifting devices.
Participating in daily 5S+1 activities to maintain a clean and organized work area and promote a safe work environment.
Delivering large parts utilizing a powered industrial truck to various operations throughout Plant 15.
Utilizing radio communication and Mercury’s material replenishment system to deliver parts throughout the plant as requested to meet daily production needs.
Following plant safety rules while maintaining a clean and organized work area utilizing 5S+1 principles.
Supporting various quality and productivity activities on an as needed basis.
Utilizing a Kanban system and Mercury’s material replenishment system to replenish parts using lean methodology.
Replenishing parts utilizing a variety of equipment to/from offsite warehouses to support daily manufacturing functions.
Receiving parts from offsite warehouses utilizing Mercury’s material flow systems.
Shipping excess parts to offsite warehouses.
Maintaining markets to support internal delivery needs.
