About The Position

The Gardner School of Minnetonka is seeking passionate and energetic Support Teachers to join their team. This role involves positively impacting children's lives and contributing to early childhood education in a supportive and fun workplace. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • 1+ year of experience working with children ages 6 weeks – 5 years (preferred)
  • Passion for early childhood education and a joyful, caring attitude
  • Meets all Minnesota state licensing requirements for early childhood staff
  • Reliable and professional with consistent attendance
  • Builds positive relationships and communicates effectively with children, parents, and team members
  • Maintains composure and professionalism when addressing stressful situations or unexpected challenges
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. to ensure child safety, facilitate programs, and respond to emergencies.
  • Infant and Young Toddler Teachers must be able to safely lift infants in and out of cribs and perform other caregiving duties
  • Remains alert and engaged while supervising children at all times
  • Meets all background check and fingerprinting requirements per Minnesota state licensing regulations
  • Completes required pre-service, onboarding, and annual training hours
  • Adheres to all health, safety, and sanitation standards
  • Maintains a positive, team-oriented attitude and commitment to The Gardner School’s mission and values

Responsibilities

  • Engage children in meaningful interactions that support development
  • Step into classrooms to support Assistant Teachers during breaks or absences
  • Help maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and routine
  • Communicate respectfully and professionally with teachers, leadership, and families
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment
  • Model a supportive and flexible team-oriented attitude
  • Follow all policies, procedures, and licensing regulations
  • Assist in maintaining child-to-staff ratios and completing classroom tasks
