About The Position
The Learning Experience – Sterling is seeking a flexible and dependable Support Staff / Floater to assist classrooms serving infants through preschool-aged children. This role supports daily routines across age groups while helping maintain a safe, organized learning environment. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their day and working with multiple classroom teams.
Requirements
- High school diploma required
- Prior childcare experience required
- Comfortable supporting multiple age groups
- Flexible, dependable, and team-oriented
- Must meet Virginia childcare licensing requirements
Responsibilities
- Provide classroom coverage across infant, toddler, and preschool programs
- Assist teachers with daily routines, activities, and transitions
- Support playground supervision and learning center preparation
- Help maintain classroom organization and cleanliness
- Step into classrooms as needed to maintain ratios
- Communicate professionally with families and team members
- Follow Virginia licensing and safety requirements
