About The Position
Join Spread Your Wings and make a meaningful impact supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in a community-based day program. This is a full-time position located in San Jose, CA, operating Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The role is entry-level friendly and offers a pay rate of $22.00/hour.
Requirements
- 18+ years old
- Patient, dependable, and compassionate
- Strong communication skills
- Comfortable working independently in the community
- Able to pass background check & Live Scan
Nice To Haves
- Experience in caregiving or behavioral support
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 support to a participant throughout the day
- Assist with daily living activities (hygiene, meals, mobility)
- Support participation in community outings (parks, stores, libraries)
- Implement behavior support plans and redirect as needed
- Ensure safety, engagement, and well-being at all times
- Ride along during transportation to support the participant
