About The Position

The Support Specialist supports the Ryan White Part B AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP), focusing on enrollment, eligibility, renewals, issue resolution, and continuity of HIV medication access. The role serves as a liaison between case managers, healthcare providers, TDH staff, and program vendors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Health Administration, Public Health, Healthcare Management, or related field.
• 4+ years of front-facing customer service experience, preferably in healthcare, public health, insurance, or health administration.
• Knowledge of healthcare operations and client service processes.
• Strong problem-solving, documentation, research, follow-up, and issue-resolution skills.
• Excellent verbal/written communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, databases, case management, or electronic information systems.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and adapt to changing procedures.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Ryan White HIV/AIDS, ADAP, health insurance enrollment, or benefits coordination.
• Knowledge of HIV care, medication assistance, and healthcare coverage programs.
• Experience supporting case managers, healthcare providers, or public-sector healthcare programs.

Responsibilities

• Support case managers with program enrollment, eligibility, renewals, and procedures.
• Troubleshoot enrollment and coverage issues and coordinate resolution of complex cases.
• Provide technical assistance and customer support to case managers, healthcare providers, and program partners.
• Manage calls/emails and maintain accurate documentation and follow-up.
• Identify recurring issues and recommend process improvements.
• Assist with quality assurance, data validation, monitoring, training, and program meetings.
• Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA, Ryan White, and program requirements.
