About The Position

Comprehensive Healthcare provides innovative behavioral health and integrated healthcare services to clients of all ages. The Support Specialist for the Information Services team provides software and hardware support to end-users and serves a generalist in providing assistance with a variety of department functions.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in computer science related field
  • One-year relevant experience, training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Installs and maintains all end user workstations, software and peripheral equipment.
  • Performs preventative maintenance on end user workstations and peripheral equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnoses and corrects end user problems.
  • Refers unresolved issues to the appropriate team member when necessary.
  • Follows up with end users to ensure problems have been adequately resolved.
  • Documents resolutions and analyzes trends for ways to prevent future problems.
  • Assists in evaluation of new computer hardware and software.
  • Refers major hardware or software problems to vendor, under the guidance of the Director.
  • Creates and maintains operating system images.
  • Deploys images and prepares computers for installation.
  • Evaluates operating systems and software application releases for use within agency.
  • Modifies and customizes software application configurations for agency needs.
  • Develops documentation for the system’s specifications and operating standards.
  • Answers Help Desk calls as a backup as per Information Services procedures.
  • Develops documentation to train users in the proper use of computer hardware and software.
  • Provides tutorial and classroom instruction to staff.
  • Ensures computer software is installed and configured correctly.
  • Applies software updates when necessary.
  • Maintains agency computer hardware and software inventory.
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Windows Server products, and imaging/deployment software, in addition to others as to be determined.
