About The Position

The Support Specialist of the District Investigations Unit performs a variety of clerical duties, supporting the District Investigations Sergeants and their staff. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 years of related clerical experience
  • CCIC/NCIC Clearance
  • Notary Certificate or ability to obtain within six months

Responsibilities

  • Obtain Dispatch 911/Radio Audio, body cam items, CAD reports, and NCIC/CCIC information for detectives.
  • Process, update, and close detective unit cases, including case management/workflow queue actives and quarterly Case Clearance Report reviews.
  • Prepare and transcribe case-related information in Versadex and perform daily MNI verification activities.
  • Create and prepare discovery and case-related documents, including witness lists, DA information sheets, and materials for meetings or trials.
  • Provide administrative support to unit personnel, including scheduling meetings, coordinating unit needs, sharing information with rotating personnel, and assisting with case updates.
  • Respond to requests for information from citizens, law enforcement agencies, and outside agencies.
  • Support detectives with equipment, program, IT, facilities, print shop, and other operational requests.
  • Monitor inventory and supplies and assist with boiling-related tasks as needed.
  • Monitor vehicle and pedestrian entrance gates and greet vendors and visitors.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
