About The Position

Services, supports, and maintains electrical equipment within the determined geographical location. Performs electrical preventative maintenance on equipment using the Maximo system.

Plans projects with safety as a priority.
Reviews preventative work for safety hurdles.
Diagnoses malfunctioning systems, apparatuses, and components using test equipment and hand tools.
Conforms to National Electric Code and National Fire Protection Association 70E, Cummins Production Equipment Specifications, and applicable international standards for electrical systems 600 volts and below.
Plans, installs, assembles, and troubleshoots electrical or communication wiring and components.
Hangs conduit, installs circuit breakers, tests and installs new equipment and fixtures.
Utilizes plant electrical distribution knowledge.
Orders supplies from various vendors.
Assists in managing spare parts inventories.
Prepares, sketches, notes modifications, or follows blueprints.
Utilizes software to track, assign, and prioritize maintenance work and building management systems.
Follows manufacturer’s recommended preventative maintenance schedules and startup procedures.
Communicates technical information to customers regarding projects.
Assembles, installs, tests, and maintains electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatuses, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
Connects wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
Inspects electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures based on job specifications and local codes.
Works cross-functionally to make repairs.
Performs work in a wide variety of conditions, such as extreme heat, cold, and moisture.
Maintains housekeeping and safety in work areas.
Participates in training and personal development.
Assists in training department personnel and apprentices.
Communicates within the assigned team and with all support teams.
Understands and applies appropriate company and department rules and guidelines.
Complies with departmental, site, and company safety policies and procedures.
Uses proper personal protective equipment.
Participates in improvement projects.
Uses common problem solving techniques.
Remains flexible.
Performs other miscellaneous duties as required.
Completes work with minimal supervision.
Rotates job routine as needed.

Responsibilities

Maintains safe work habits and actions in all aspects of the daily task; evaluates reactive work for safety issues, plans projects so that safety is key, and reviews preventative work for any unforeseen items that may present safety hurdles.
Diagnoses malfunctioning systems, apparatuses, and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of breakdown and correct the problem.
Conforms to National Electric Code and National Fire Protection Association 70E, Cummins Production Equipment Specifications, and applicable international standards to maintain, install, and operate electrical systems which are 600 volts and below.
Plans, installs, assembles, and troubleshoots all portions of electrical or communication wiring and components including hanging conduit, installing circuit breakers, testing and installing new equipment and fixtures, and diagnosing malfunctioning systems.
Utilizes plant electrical distribution knowledge to support customer needs and defines location of addition loading or consults the appropriate facilities personnel to determine location.
Orders supplies from various vendors and assists in managing spare parts inventories.
Prepares, sketches, notes modifications, or follows blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes.
Utilizes software to track, assign, and prioritize reactive, planned, preventative and predictive maintenance work, and building management system.
Follows manufacturer’s recommended preventative maintenance schedules and startup procedures.
Communicates technical information to customers regarding projects.
Assembles, installs, tests, and maintains electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatuses, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
