About The Position

The Support Services Technician II performs a variety of clerical duties associated with supply management, communications and admissions support. As part of the varied duties, this position complies and inputs statistical information into appropriate hospital systems, maintains appropriate inventory in accordance with hospital procedures, and helps support other hospital departments by taking on clerical or general office related responsibilities as directed. The Support Services Technician II also performs a variety of direct patient care activities including: assisting and accompanying all patients who are transferred to and from the facility via the facility van. This position provides direct patient care to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in patient transport or clerical support.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with hospital information systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree in a related field.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Bilingual abilities (English/Spanish).
