About The Position

The Supervisor Support Services - OR works directly with the Business Manager and coordinates activities and resources which promote efficient functioning of support activities for the O.R. These services include fiscal, personnel, administrative, Materials Management and Computerized Data Management activities. Coordinates and supports the inventory acquisition for the Operating Room. The Support Services Manager works collaboratively with the O.R. management team to create an environment for excellence in patient care and demonstrates leadership behaviors which empower staff to deliver excellent patient care. In the absence of the Business Manager, the Supervisor Support Services will assume the responsibilities as outlined in the Business Manager Job Description, and may assist in additional projects and activities that assist in meeting unit needs and goals, as delegated by the Business Manager.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Significant experience in materials management
  • Prior supervisory experience
  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • Management experience preferred
  • Demonstrated communication, organizational and delegation skills with the ability to direct and evaluate unit functions.
  • Demonstrates skill in using personal computers, the Microsoft Office Suite of business software applications, and materials management related software applications.
  • Honest, punctual, and performs the job in adherence to the highest standards of ethical conduct as defined by AMC and the tenets of the profession.
  • Accurate in such matters as record-keeping, and uses good judgment when performing the functions of the job or when interacting with others.
  • Accepts direction, performs job duties independently, works cooperately with others and avoids the creation of unnecessary conflict.
