Requirements

Progressive experience in healthcare facilities, environmental services, food and nutrition, supply chain, materials management, security, safety, emergency preparedness, logistics, or another support services area
Previous leadership experience as a director, manager, supervisor, or comparable professional
Strong knowledge of the regulations, safety standards, and operational requirements relevant to the position
Experience managing teams, budgets, vendors, inventory, equipment, construction, or facilities
Experience with emergency preparedness, life safety, infection-prevention support, or disaster response may be valuable
The ability to prioritize competing needs and respond calmly to operational challenges
Strong communication, organization, judgment, and problem-solving skills
Experience working collaboratively with clinical, administrative, financial, and executive departments
Experience supporting multiple facilities, remote locations, or geographically dispersed operations may be valuable
Experience with rural hospitals, Critical Access Hospitals, FQHCs, Tribal health organizations, regional health corporations, long-term care providers, or community healthcare organizations
Experience working with Alaska Native communities, Tribal health organizations, Indian Health Service programs, or tribally operated systems may be highly valued for some opportunities
Relevant education, certification, or technical credentials based on the position
A visible, dependable, practical, culturally respectful, and service-focused leadership style

Responsibilities

Providing operational leadership for facilities, environmental services, dietary, supply chain, security, transportation, or related departments
Maintaining safe, clean, functional, and welcoming healthcare environments
Managing preventive maintenance, repairs, utilities, infrastructure, fuel systems, and building operations
Supporting life safety, emergency preparedness, disaster response, and regulatory readiness
Leading environmental services, infection-prevention support, sanitation standards, and waste-management processes
Overseeing food service, nutrition operations, food safety, and applicable regulatory requirements
Managing purchasing, inventory, supplies, equipment, freight, shipping, and vendor relationships
Planning for weather, transportation, and supply-chain disruptions
Supporting capital planning, renovations, construction, infrastructure improvements, and equipment replacement
Managing department budgets, staffing, scheduling, productivity, and performance
Recruiting, training, developing, and supporting employees
Developing policies, procedures, workflows, emergency plans, and performance standards
Preparing for inspections, surveys, audits, drills, and emergency exercises
Collaborating with clinical, administrative, quality, infection prevention, finance, and executive leaders
Supporting facilities or services across multiple communities, clinics, or locations
