About The Position

Looking for a position that makes you smile? We’re seeking a Support Services Intern to join our growing team.The Support Services Intern supports the Smile Doctors Finance department through a structured nine-week program designed to provide meaningful exposure to accounting, corporate finance, treasury, financial planning and analysis, and revenue cycle management. The intern will complete three departmental rotations aligned with their academic interests and career goals, culminating in a capstone project presented to finance leadership. How you’ll make us better:Rotation 1 (four weeks - primary placement aligned with academic interest/degree): Contribute to live workstreams within the assigned department, including financial analysis, reporting, or operational support Shadow senior team members and participate in recurring meetings and deliverables Develop working knowledge of department-specific tools, systems, and workflows Rotation 2 (two weeks) and Rotation 3 (two weeks - cross-functional exposure): Complete targeted assignments across two additional finance departments to build breadth of exposure Apply analytical skills in a new context and document key learnings across rotations Capstone (one week): Identify a problem, opportunity, or process improvement observed during the rotation program Develop a structured analysis and recommendation Present findings to finance leadership in a concise, professional format All Rotations: Partner with team members across Accounting, Finance Strategy, Treasury, Financial Planning & Analysis, and Revenue Cycle Management to support ongoing initiatives Contribute to data gathering, model building, reporting, and presentation development as directed

Requirements

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to learn across multiple finance disciplines
  • Ability to communicate analysis in a clear, visual format, and present to senior audiences
  • Ability to manage time effectively across rotating assignments with different priorities and managers
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial formulas, data organization, and basic modeling
  • Familiarity with PowerPoint
  • Exposure to financial statements, accounting principles, or corporate finance concepts
