About The Position

This role involves utilizing technical and procedural skills to support an assigned team's work within a specified application set or on discrete system elements. The engineer will serve as a participating member on teams tasked with developing, improving, and delivering product/system elements and features. This includes engaging in design and development discussions, helping conceptualize desired outcomes from a Software Engineering perspective, and assisting with feature/element estimation in terms of technical input, resources, time, and anticipated outcomes. The role also entails creating detailed plans for migrating legacy tools and systems to new/unified systems and languages, developing and implementing unit and systems testing for integral code paths with adherence to secure coding practices, and providing technical support, including troubleshooting and enhancement for existing and new features within application and system structures. Documentation of processes to capture best practices, applicable methodologies, and repeatability is also a key responsibility, as is updating team members, managers, product owners, and other key stakeholders on status, challenges, and concerns. Finally, the role includes training and mentoring junior team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) or equivalent.
  • Recent graduates or candidates with up to 2 years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government due to potential access to export-controlled commodities and technology.

Responsibilities
