About The Position

The Student Services Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing programs that support student well-being, academic success, and social-emotional development. This role serves as a critical liaison between students, families, school staff, and community partners to ensure that every student has access to the resources and support they need to thrive.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage student support services, including counseling, behavioral interventions, attendance, and family engagement.
  • Serve as a primary contact for student case management and work closely with counselors, social workers, and special education staff to develop intervention strategies.
  • Lead initiatives to improve student attendance, engagement, and school climate.
  • Monitor and evaluate student needs through data collection, stakeholder feedback, and academic/behavioral trends.
  • Facilitate student support team (SST) meetings and collaborate with teachers to develop and monitor student support plans.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal guidelines related to student services, including McKinney-Vento (homeless services), foster youth, and 504 plans.
  • Coordinate external partnerships and referrals for services including mental health, crisis response, housing, and healthcare.
  • Organize and lead professional development for staff around trauma-informed practices, behavioral supports, and equity in student services.
  • Communicate regularly with families to build trust and provide updates regarding student progress and available resources.
